Carson Palmer : 2001 Draft Day Picks

Carson Palmer was born on December 27, 1979 in Fresno, California. Although Palmer does not have the athleticism of some of the other great NFL quarterbacks, he has everything that he needs to succeed. This includes having a strong arm, great pocket presence, and being one of the smartest quarterbacks in the league.

Palmer played high school football at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. As a senior, colleges from all over the country took notice of him as he passed for 31 touchdowns and only four interceptions. When his high school career was over, Palmer held 27 school records.

After high school Palmer decided to play at the University of Southern California. During his freshman season in 1998, Palmer was named the starting quarterback in the ninth game of the season; a position that he would hold for the rest of his career.

Palmer had three up and down seasons for the Trojans, but things changed dramatically

99 Days Left Until the NFL and Love Kickoff – Are You Ready

With only 99 days left until the NFL 2006 kickoff, are you ready and will your love life survive another season of football? The Pros are still working out during the off-season but have you been working on your love life as well?

Love as with football requires teamwork and practice. There’s no off-season if you want to be on the winning team. The point of football is to have the best strategy with consistent execution so that you can make it to the End Zone. The team with the most points wins the game and eventually makes it to the Super Bowl. In order for the players to accomplish this, memorization and understanding the correct formations and plays in the Playbook is required.

For a Love Pro the Playbook is, “Winning Points with the Woman in Your Life One Touchdown at a Time – How to Score for Men and Women.” So how can you get ready for this year’s NFL kickoff with the Miami Dolphins vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at

Super Bowl XLIII Recollections

Super Bowl XLIII Recollections

Can the Steelers do it again this year? There certainly are some good signs that the Steelers are on track for a good year, but to go all the way….well that is a tall order to win consecutive Super Bowl. The Pittsburgh Steelers encompassed the true feel good story last season : coming in as an outside bet in the 6th seed position, having a quarterback make a miracle play to stop a season ending run, and having a running back retire after winning the Lombardi prize in his birth city. And after 2 years out of the job, Bill Cowher would have been pleased.

The film, which premiered today in the East Club Lounge at Heinz Field, details the Steelers run to their NFL record 6th Super Bowl title, led by second-year Head Coach Mike Tomlin.

The 2008 Steelers overcame the challenge of the NFL’s toughest regular-season schedule to earn a 12-4 record and their 2nd consecutive AFC North Division crown under Tomlin, in transit to a unique 6th Super Bowl

Super Bowl Xliii 2009 Tampa Bay

Super Bowl Xliii 2009 Tampa Bay

Super Bowl XLIII kicks off on February 1st, 2009 in sunny Tampa Bay, Florida.  This year’s tilt features a surprising matchup of the Pittsburgh Steelers versus the upstart Arizona Cardinals.  Vegas lines on the Super Bowl have the Pittsburgh Steelers favored by 7 points.

The Steelers are led by their concussion-prone quarterback Big Ben Roethlisberger, who is supported on the ground by the one-two punch of Fast Willie Parker and Mewelde Moore.  Lending Big Ben some air support are the receiving duo of Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes. But Pittsburgh’s big guns are on defense, where Defensive Player of the Year James Harrison leads the number-one ranked defense in the league, featuring Troy Polamalu, Aaron Smith, James Farrior and LaMarr Woodley.

That defense has its work cut out for it as it tries to stop the red-hot Cardinals offense, led by veteran quarterback Kurt Warner who distributes the football to the best receiving tandem in

2009 Superbowl contenders

New England Odds 4:1

Vegas have installed the Pats as the 4:1 favorite this year to win the Superbowl. They are basing this on the assumption of the complete recovery of Tom Brady. He is the difference maker. It will be interesting to see how he responds to the pressure after the knee reconstructive surgery. Football is not like golf, where it appears Tiger Woods has made a complete recovery, notwithstanding zero major’s, Tiger is having a great year. But Tiger does not have eleven great and sometimes huge athletes bearing down on him trying to take his head off. The question is will he be able to put the injury behind him or will he develop happy feet.

I don’t think the Pats are the team to beat. They are aging at key positions. Bruschi, Moss, Taylor, Walker, are great players but they are getting past their prime. Sure you can draft replacements. But there is always a drop off. You just don’t replace a Bruschi.

Denver Broncos Tickets- One Win Sends Denver to Playoffs

Watching the Denver Broncos finish this season is like watching a first place marathoner finally give into his pain with only half a mile left as he is trying to limp across the finish line with his spot intact. The San Diego Chargers are like the equally-beat up second place runner who is just close enough that he might be able to overtake first place if he gets enough of a second wind. Except move the two contenders back a few places and say they are fighting for the last spot on the podium. That is what the AFC West looks like. While teams like the 11-3 Pittsburgh Steelers or the 12-2 Tennessee Titans clinched their divisions with gusto, the 8-6 Denver Broncos and the 6-8 San Diego Chargers are fighting hard for their division’s spot in the playoffs. Unfortunately for Denver, they will have to overcome some pretty rough predicaments to add a win.

It isn’t that the team doesn’t have talent. Their quarterback Jay Cutler is one of the best in the

Get Tickets to Help the Seahawks get Over the Super Bowl Hurdle

Get Tickets to Help the Seahawks get Over the Super Bowl Hurdle

There’s never been a better time to hold Seattle Seahawks tickets, as the team has finally broken through with a championship run and appears to be built upon a stable foundation that will keep the team in contention for years to come. Their stars have gas left in their tanks, they are well-coached and the city loves its team.

However, it appears that the Seahawks, like their Super Bowl XL counterparts, the Pittsburgh Steelers, are suffering from the seemingly all-too-common Super Bowl hangover. The Seahawks are hovering near mediocrity, holding a 5-3 record at the midway point of the 2006 season. Although that’s good enough to remain in contention for the postseason, more was expected from the team that many think should have won the Super Bowl but for a few unlucky bounces and questionable calls. Will the Seahawks shake off the effects of last season’s near miss? A few factors detailed below will help determine their fate.

New Orleans Saints

History

Main article: History of the New Orleans Saints

Early history

The brainchild of local sports entrepreneur Dave Dixon, who also founded the Louisiana Superdome and the USFL, the Saints were actually secretly born in a backroom deal brought about by Congressman Hale Boggs, Senator Russell Long and NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle. The NFL needed congressional approval of the proposed AFL-NFL merger. Dixon and a local civic group had been seeking a NFL franchise for over 5 years, and had hosted record crowds to NFL exhibition games. To seal the merger, Rozelle arrived in New Orleans within a week, and announced on November 1, 1966 that the NFL officially had awarded the city of New Orleans an NFL franchise. Named for the great jazz song most identified with New Orleans “When the Saints Go Marching In,” the franchise was announced in a great coincidence on November 1st, which is the Catholic All Saints’ Day. Boggs’ Congressional
